CUSTOMS CLEARANCE OPERATOR

The work of a customs declarant is more in demand than ever. An increasing number of laws and regulations must be observed in the fields of customs and international trade. Without well-trained personnel, internationally active companies face significant challenges in remaining economically successful.

For the first time in Austria, the Zollakademie Austria developed a vocational training program for customs declarants based on European Standard EN 16992. The focus of this program is on the practical preparation of customs declarations in the Austrian live customs system and the correct tariff classification of goods. The course is supported by numerous examples that help participants apply their theoretical knowledge in practice.

In addition, participants deepen their knowledge in the areas of customs valuation, value added tax (VAT), excise duties, prohibitions and restrictions, and customs preferences.

With our extensive e-learning offering, you can study anytime and anywhere. For our Customs Declarant Training Program, we have also developed a comprehensive instructional concept that provides a varied and sustainable learning experience.

During the lectures, you will receive theoretical input and gain initial insights into practical customs procedures. You can ask questions directly to the subject matter experts and receive personal feedback.

Through the learning management system, you always have an overview of the entire program and your learning progress, and you can access important information at any time.

Of course, we will support you throughout your self-study period as well.

The e-learning modules alternate with the live lectures and can be completed throughout the entire program. In addition to providing further theoretical input, the main focus is on working through practical case studies, as well as reinforcing and refreshing acquired knowledge.

You can complete these assignments at your own pace and whenever it suits you, entirely independent of time and location. You will be guided step by step through the individual e-learning modules, allowing you to build your knowledge progressively.

The exercises, including those you create yourself using our customs training software, are completed and assessed directly within the e-learning system. This means you receive feedback on your work within seconds and do not have to wait for corrections from an instructor.

Our e-learning platform allows you to practice as often and as extensively as you like. In addition to providing optimal preparation for the certification examination conducted by independent certification bodies, the practical experience gained in the training environment will also give you valuable advantages in your professional career.

For participation in the P37 Customs Clearance Operator Program, prior knowledge in the areas of customs fundamentals, rules of origin, customs preferences, customs tariffs, export control, and legal remedies is required. We recommend completing a training program such as the P36 Customs Specialist Program beforehand.

No. The certification exam for the P37 Certificate Program is conducted by an independent certification body.

The exam dates are scheduled separately and require individual registration.
